Steephill one of the Isle of Wight’s best kept secrets.

Steephill Cove is the perfect place for some beachside fun or just to kick back and relax.

Welcome to the beautiful Isle of Wight’s Steephill Cove.

As there is no access to this unspoilt Cove by road, just steps or a slope, it will either be local knowledge or sheer good luck that brings you to Steephill.

With just a handful of character houses, fishermen, rock pools, deck chairs and a safe friendly feeling, it’s the perfect spot for families to build sand castles, go rock pooling, or for couples to just relax.

There are no noisy arcades or kiss-me-quick hats, just good old-fashioned seaside bliss.

If afternoon cake and coffee is to your liking, then head to the Cove Coffee Shop and indulge in Barista coffee, light lunches, homemade cakes, ice cream and more. There are lovely things to buy for your body and home too so you could pick up a few gifts or just treat yourself.

If you fancy a crab pasty the Crab Shed takeaway would be just the thing or the Beach Shack for lunches.

Embrace an oasis of tranquillity every evening.
As the sun sets behind the breathtaking horizon, a sense of serenity effortlessly blankets the enchanting Steephill Cove. As the clock strikes 5pm the local eateries lovingly close their doors, creating a haven of peace for you to savour and cherish.

Locally there’s lots to do.

There is the world renowned Ventnor Botanical Gardens to visit with rare plants collected from around the world which thrive in the micro climate in this part of the Island and the pretty Victorian town of Ventnor itself is a fifteen minute walk away along the cliffs for any amenities you might need. Ventnor Cricket Club is a stone’s throw away and the golf club a short drive. You can also take in some stunning scenery along the coastal paths which are well signposted around the Island.

We know that Steephill Cove is a very special place because visitors come back year after year to sample its particular delights. So escape from life, the universe and everything and come and see us at Steephill. You’ll be glad you did.
